![]() ![]() In Mortal Shell, there is no customization. for replayability, customization is required. There is some customisation, but we are unsure how much we will able to add. Every review and every news article you read about that game talks about only one thing - how ♥♥♥♥ it is. This game looks great and would be an instant buy from me if it had a character creator. Have you been under a rock lately? Wo Long has already become irrelevant and it's only been 5 days. Thats the issue with AAA development NO ONE cares about what they put out cause they KNOW people will buy it anyway, Indie devs dont have that luxury so if they want their game to sell they HAVE to care. If a game is being made by passionate people that care about what they put out clearly the other stuff doesn't matter. Hollow Knight was made by a VERY small team and it came out the gate and basically beat EVERY metroidvania that came before it so clearly its not about money and team size. Comparing it to juggernauts in the Indie and AAA Action Game space before it's even out is just a way to set the game up to be judged unfairly. Let the game stand on its own and see what it does. ![]() Or to compare it to an Indie darling like Hollow Knight. But I don't think it's fair to put something created by a small team in direct comparison with a AAA title developed by a studio that has been making incredible games since 2004. Explore the last remnants of civilization in this vast, unforgiving, and interconnected world. I'm pumped to try it out and really hope the verticality and exploration hits the mark for me. I'm very excited to play it, and will be checking it out day one, but I just feel like quite a bit of hype and expectation has built up around the title, and I'm of the mind that one should always hope for the best while keeping one's expectations in check. I'm just saying, this is a pretty crazy ambitious looking title for something made by three people. The game has generated heated discussions on how similar it is to FromSoftware titles, especially Elden Ring. If a game is being made by passionate people that care about what they put out clearly the other stuff doesn't matter. Bleak Faith: Forsaken is a newly released Soulslike title from indie developer Archangel Studios that looks like a cybergoth spin on the FromSoftware genre. thats a very pessimistic way to look at things. This is a game developed by three people over 4 years. We decided to showcase some of the gameplay polish and improvements in an area weve already showed before so as to spare people of any more content spoilers. I really hope Bleak Faith does great, but let's keep our expectations in check. ![]() Originally posted by Rinaldus:Considering that Wo Long was developed by a well-fianced studio with decades of experience, I would guess not. ![]()
